The federal budget for 2020-21 is backing up the Australian manufacturing industry by investing $1.5B in the Modern Manufacturing Strategy over the next four years. This initiative will create jobs to lead the nation out of COVID-19 crisis. It will allow Australian manufacturers to scale up and compete internationally.
The Modern Manufacturing Initiative will support projects within six National Manufacturing Priorities:
- resources technology and critical minerals processing
- food and beverage
- medical products
- recycling and clean energy
- and space.
Industry Capability Network (ICN) has been integral in the delivery of many Federal Government programs. We supported manufacturing policies such as the Supplier Access to Major Projects (SAMP) program and the supplier advocate and national sector manager initiatives.
