Territory Instruments and EIM Northern have formed a partnership to service the Northern Territory Energy and Resource Industries. The joint venture combines Territory Instruments’ illustrious local presence in Northern Australia with EIM’s strong track record developing and operating infrastructure for Eastern Australian energy and resource markets. The result is an integrated service offering for Northern Australia which consolidates electrical, instrumentation and process control services with plant and pipeline control room, compliance, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance services into a ‘one-stop’ solution.

EIM’s Executive General Manager Brett Shalders said “We believe in the future of the Northern Territory Gas Industry. When we decided to establish a local presence in the NT, it was important for us to stay committed to our policy of supporting local industry. This JV with Territory Instruments is the first step, the next will be to invest in the training and development of local technical skills”.

The JV has invested in the development of innovative integrated management and operations system technology which has enabled the achievement of industry benchmark efficiencies that deliver best practice compliance and top productivity. The extensive experience in operating licensed infrastructure means that compliance with complex legislative, standard and client requirements is ingrained into the genetic building blocks of the company.

The diversity of their products found in the mining, defence, oil and gas, energy, health and manufacturing industries have led to strong supply relationships with many of the reputable manufacturers to cater for customer requirements.

With a dedicated instrument calibration facility located at its main office in Darwin, highly trained technicians can calibrate complex instrumentation, equipment and systems for a diverse range of applications across Northern Australia.

Territory Instruments Managing Director Stuart Kenny said “The future of the Northern Territory is dependent upon a sustainable balance between offshore and onshore gas development and this partnership underpins Territory Instruments’ capability and strengthens our offering to the Oil and Gas and Mining industry.”

The overriding goal for this joint venture is to integrate sustainability into business activities, creating shared value for all stakeholders with mutually beneficial outcomes. The company states this is achieved through utilising technology, building long-term relationships, increasing efficiency, developing capacity and safeguarding health and the environment.
