Industry Capability Network (ICN) Limited in collaboration with the ICN Network offices across the country today announce the relaunch of ICN Gateway after undergoing a comprehensive overhaul which will make it easier for project owners to promote their projects and suppliers to find work and promote their capabilities.

When it comes to finding new business opportunities, one of the biggest challenges for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) can be breaking into new or expanding supply chains.

Through ICN Gateway, suppliers have access to projects worth more than $400bn to the Australian economy from an impressive array of prime clients, including Rheinmetall, Shell, John Holland, Rio Tinto and BAE, to name a few.

ICN Limited implemented a robust Strategic Plan which included the overhaul of ICN systems to better serve its stakeholders.

Warren Jansen, ICN Limited Executive Director, explained “ICN has a proven track record of providing full, fair and reasonable access to local opportunities. Since being created over 30 years ago, we helped local businesses find $30 billion worth of contracts to keep them working and growing. We’re thrilled about the change this will make to industry and look forward to doing our part in growing the Australian economy through these projects.”

“Finding, applying for and winning new business can be tough, expensive, time consuming and in many cases a matter of luck (who you know or being in the right place at the right time). Gateway aims to make that task easier for Australian industry. We’re calling it ‘New Business, Upgraded.’”

By investing in this system, ICN Limited is investing in the future of Australian industry and looks forward to modernising how project owners promote their projects and businesses are able to find out what projects are out there and submit their expressions of interest.

In addition, this overhaul has opened many doors and we look forward to introducing some new and exciting features for our customers over the coming months.

“If you’re a project manager get in touch with your local ICN office to find out how you can save time and money in the procurement process,” said ICN Limited Chair, Derek Lark.

“And if you’re an SME looking to expand your business, make sure you register your details on ICN Gateway.”

The relaunch has been supported by the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources (DISER). Gateway complements the Australian Government’s Modern Manufacturing Strategy and Australian industry participation (AIP) policy. The delegate of the Acting AIP Authority at DISER, Donna Looney, notes “we welcome this relaunch since supporting Gateway is an important contribution to enabling the Australian Government’s requirements to ensure full, fair and reasonable opportunity for Australian industry to compete for work, including under the Australian Jobs Act 2013”.
