Goyder Renewables Zone – Goyder South Stage 1 Wind Farm

The Project

Goyder South Stage 1 is the first stage of Neoen’s Goyder Renewables Zone. GE Renewable Energy Australia and Elecnor Group’s Green Light Contractors are the EPC Consortium partners for Stages 1A and 1B, comprising 38 and 37 x 5.5MWwind turbine generators respectively.

Stage 1A is fully committed, with Stage 1B likely to be commenced in the coming months.

GE Australia is supplying, installing, commissioning and testing the wind turbine generators. In addition to this, work to be performed by Consortium includes transport of turbine components from port of import to site, design and supply of all wind farm civil infrastructure (foundations, roads, buildings), electrical infrastructure (33kV cables, earthing, communications, SCADA), Substation and Operations & Maintenance Building.

Goyder South Stage 1 Wind Farm is located in South Australia’s Mid North region, approximately 100km north-east of Adelaide and 5.5km south of the township of Burra.

Project Timing

Civil works are planned to commence in March 2022 with turbine installation planned from April 2023 and final handover by February 2024.
